English Language Equestrian Camps
Improve your English in Dingle
Burnham Riding Centre provide an environment which enables the horse loving teenager and young riders to improve their English language skills through our Equestrian Camps in a friendly and homely environment.Beginners quickly become confident , novice riders make rapid progress and intermediates are encouraged to reach their personal goals and targets.Our young guests also get to make new friends , enjoy safe independence away from home and of course have fun.
Option 1 Confidence Building & Leisure Riders
Following assessment students will follow a progressive programme that will be taught at a level the group each week are comfortable with to ensure that students will have improved their riding, knowledge and horsemanship skills to a confident level while having broaden their use of their English Language.
Arrive Sunday evening after 6 pm depart at 1 pm Saturday afternoon.
Days can vary slightly due however this will give students a idea of our daily routine.
Mornings
Breakfast at 8 am then to the yard for 9.30 am students will do morning Stable Duties / Management followed by Flat Work / Dressage Lesson / pratice sessions.1- 1.5 hrs
Lunch Break
Afternoons
Jumping lesson , X country , Competitions at centre or Trekking 2 - 2.5 hrs. We are finished in the yard 5pm
Dinner 7 pm
Evenings are free time to watch movies , beach , surf , trips to cinema. Pocket money required.
Suitable for Beginner Novice Intermediate Riders
Option 2 Intensive & Competition Riders
These programmes are aimed at the more advanced rider and horse owners and those who are looking to competiting in Ireland.
Daily routine is the same as Option 1 however riding classes are adapted to suit and Sundays are competition days at Local and National Shows if requested by students ( this is not included in price )
Suitable for Intermediate & Advanced Riders.
Accommodation
Accommodation is provided in family home on Burnham Road on a full board basis. Students are treated as part of the family during their stay. Bedrooms are 2 / 3 per room ensuite or private bathroom .
Awards & Shows
Unaffiliated Showjumping / Dressage Show with a prize giving held at the end of each week; students will be awarded with a Certificate of Achievement
Transport
Airport / Train transport can be arranged on request.
Afternoon & Evening Activities
Local activities such as kayaking in Dingle Bay , surfing hill walking , boat trips and the cinema are arranged by request. Prices are not included in camp prices pocket money will be required.
